Experts of store process and efficiency who enable a consistent experience for our guests by ensuring product is set, in-stock, accurately priced and signed on the sales floor. The General Merchandise and Food Sales team leads inbound, outbound, replenishment, and promotional signing processes for all General Merchandise areas. This team conducts inventory accuracy, merchandise set-up and maintenance and pricing processes for all areas of the store.

Experts enable efficient delivery to our guests by supporting pick, pack and ship fulfillment work.

• Knowledge of guest service fundamentals and experience supporting a guest-first culture across the store
• Experience in retail business fundamentals including department sales trends, inventory replenishment, and process efficiency and improvement
• Experience executing daily/weekly workload to support business priorities and deliver on sales goals

As a General Merchandise Expert, a typical day will include the following responsibilities:

• Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests as you complete daily tasks and assist them to solve their needs
• Thank guests and acknowledge their visit
• Execute daily tasks to achieve goals aligned with business priorities, including receiving products, restocking shelves, organizing the backroom, arranging merchandise, and putting up promotional signs
• Operate power equipment if certified and move merchandise or fixtures
• Execute processes including price changes, merchandise set-up and maintenance, and inventory accuracy as directed
• Learn how operational procedures affect inventory management, store profitability, and product availability
• Be knowledgeable about store resources, products, and services to solve guest issues and improve experience
• Demonstrate ethical conduct, safety, and compliance; work safely and report hazards
• Support guest services such as back-up cashier and digital fulfillment processes (e.g., picking and packing orders or delivering pickup orders) while complying with applicable adult beverage laws
• All other duties as needed by the business

Basic Requirements

• Accurately handle cash register operations as needed
• Climb ladders as required
• Move merchandise safely, including lifting up to 44 pounds
• Flexible work schedule (nights, weekends, holidays) and reliable attendance
• Ability to work in varying temperatures and conditions, including drive-up and carryout duties
