Overview
The IT Specialist is responsible for establishing, managing, and maintaining the IT infrastructure of the law firm, including all company systems. This role ensures the seamless operation of technological systems and provides comprehensive IT support to staff, including desktop support. The position requires a proactive, knowledgeable, and versatile IT professional who can manage multiple tasks independently and deliver solutions that enhance the efficiency and security of the firm's operations.
Responsibilities- Set up, manage, and maintain the firm’s IT infrastructure, including all company systems, hardware, software, and network systems.
- Provide first-line support for all IT-related issues, troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving problems for end-users, including desktop support for all employees.
- Implement and manage security measures to protect data, software, and hardware.
- Coordinate with external vendors and service providers for the procurement and maintenance of IT equipment and services.
- Manage IT inventory, ensuring all equipment is accounted for and maintained regularly.
- Develop and enforce IT policies and procedures, including data backup, disaster recovery plans, and information security protocols.
- Train staff on new technologies and IT security best practices.
- Stay updated on the latest IT trends and technologies that may benefit the firm.
- Plan and execute IT projects to improve current systems and implement new functionalities.
- Assist with the integration of IT systems during the onboarding of new hires and the setup of workstations.
- Provide regular reports to management on IT usage, issues, and solutions.

- Work in-office (Vista, CA).
- High proficiency in English and Spanish, with the ability to communicate complex legal information accurately and effectively in both languages.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
- Proven experience in IT, preferably in a law firm or similar professional environment.
- Strong knowledge of computer systems, network administration, and the installation and configuration of hardware and software.
- Specific experience and knowledge in data security are required.
- Experience with legal software applications and platforms is highly desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
- Ability to explain technical concepts and procedures to non-technical users.
- Keen attention to detail and commitment to high standards of data security.
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, or Microsoft Certified IT Professional.
- Experience with cybersecurity measures specific to the legal industry.
- Bilingual:
Spanish/English.
$70,000 - $90,000 yearly
