Overview

Mental Health Therapist II/III, Lifeline Counseling Program. Lifeline Community Services is hiring a Mental Health Therapist to support our growing team. You will provide assessment, treatment planning, individual and family therapy, and case management to youth up to age 20 and their families. Services are provided in schools, Lifeline clinic sites, and via Zoom. Clinicians use a wide variety of counseling modalities in a culturally sensitive and trauma-informed manner.

The position is supervised by the Program Manager, with weekly group and individual supervision. Associate level clinicians gain hours toward licensure and work Monday – Thursday with weekends off. This is a direct service role that helps our team support youth in reaching their goals.

We’re looking for a candidate who can connect with youth and families using culturally sensitive and trauma-informed practices. This role requires organizational skills, flexibility and teamwork, as the Therapist manages a complex schedule and works as part of the treatment team.

• Conduct Behavioral Health Assessments and complete Treatment Plans.
• Provide individual, family and group counseling.
• Provide case coordination with other professionals including psychiatrists, primary care physicians, psychologists, IEP coordinators, schools, social workers, etc.
• Provide crisis management consultation and education, with a goal of removing barriers to a sustainable living environment.
• Participate in individual weekly and group supervision.
• Participate in quality assurance review processes and maintain county documentation standards.
• Complete other duties as assigned.

• BBS registration required - AMFT, LMFT, ACSW, LCSW, APCC, LPCC.
• Experience providing mental health services to youth or young adults.
• Ability to connect with adolescents and young adults while maintaining effective professional boundaries.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Strong organization, time management and clinical documentation skills.
• Bilingual Spanish required.

• Full-time non-exempt position
• Monday – Thursday, 10 hour shifts (8:45 AM – 7:15 PM)
• Tuesday – Friday, 10 hour shifts (8:45 AM – 7:15 PM)

• Mental Health Therapist II: BBS registered, $30.00 – $33.00 / hour (DOE)
• Mental Health Therapist III: BBS licensed, $32.29 – $35.00 / hour (DOE)
• Salary will be commensurate with experience and education. Differential pay offered for bilingual skills. EEO.

• Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation with a good driving record.
• Willing to use own, properly insured, reliable vehicle for the job (mileage reimbursed).
• Employment subject to clearances, including background fingerprinting checks, driving record, tuberculosis testing, and drug testing.
