SummaryResponsible for monitoring the operation of assigned converting machine(s) ensuring product adheres to company standard of safety, quality, and throughput.
Essential Functions And Responsibilities- Start up and shut down the machine properly, to ensure the production of the highest quality finished product.
- Set up and operate the equipment for various products.
- Safely and efficiently produce product on assigned production area.
- Housekeeping throughout assigned shift to ensure an orderly and safe environment.
- Physical and visual inspection of product to prevent non-conforming goods. Promptly report all quality defects to the appropriate team members.
- Maintain appropriate level of production supplies/materials as required, to ensure next shift operators incur minimal downtime.
- Continuously monitor machine operation to ensure accurate product measurements and quality are being maintained.
- Meet or exceed production rates, minimize waste levels, and meet all customer requirements.
- Set up and adjust rewinders.
- Neatly palletize skids with finished product.
- Enter production reporting data into machine computer accurately.
- Separate scrap into appropriate film-type gaylord.
- Operate core cutting machine, vacuum lift, and pallet jack.
- Assist on or operate other converting or manufacturing equipment and perform preventative maintenance within the plant as assigned.
- Acquire knowledge/skills of set‑up technicians to better assist and troubleshoot when needed.

- Adhere to the highest standards of company safety programs, guidelines, rules, and regulations including all personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.
- Attend meetings and complete safety trainings as required.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

- Prior SAP or similar ERP system knowledge.
- Read a tape measure to 1/32”.
- Must be able to communicate (read and write) in English.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, follow standardized work instructions and adhere to safe work practices in a continuous improvement culture.

- Heat may exceed 100 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Humidity may exceed 80%.
- Noise may exceed 85 dB+.
- Repetitive use of wrist, hands, and fingers.
- Frequent standing, stooping, squatting, up to 75%.
- Frequent bending and some kneeling.
- Frequent use of shoulders, elbows, hips, knees, and ankles.
- Frequent lifting, pushing, pulling (up to 30-50 lbs.).
- Occasional bending and twisting.
- Occasional reaching.
- Occasional typing/keyboarding/preparing documents, voice‑assisted as needed.
- Full time.
- Shift work 8 hours.
- Overtime expected per business demand.
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum 1 year manufacturing preferred.
- The pay range for this position is $18/hr to $19.50/hr the Company offers paid vacation time, paid sick leave, medical, dental and vision plans as well as a 401(k) with employer match.
