* * 8480 ISS Applications Services The Application Analyst I provides excellent customer service by assisting with implementing solutions, maintaining and supporting the assigned applications. Application Analysts study the organization’s current information systems and procedures and design information systems solutions to help the organization operate more efficiently and effectively. Application Analysts bring business and information technology (IT) together by understanding the needs and limitations of both.

Application Analysts work to build, perform build validation and collaborate with subject matter experts to design and provide input for configuration for clinical information systems.#

** QUALIFICATIONS License /Certification

Required:

One ISS management approved certification/equivalent training in area of scope/support within one year of hire/transfer.

Must keep required certification/equivalent training up-to-date (or within three years of original certification/training).
Education

Required:

High School diploma or equivalent

Preferred:
Associate's degree or higher    Experience

Required:

Two years experience as a subject matter expert or equivalent utilizing Clinical/Hospital applications or Human Resource/Financial applications. Equivalent combination of post-secondary education and experience may be substituted.
Preferred:
Experience supporting Cerner or Infor applications.
Department Specific Requirements  If assigned to Pharmacy area: requires current pharmacy technician license with the California State Board of Pharmacy.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Essential    Supports multiple customers and complex systems using technical, troubleshooting and problem-solving expertise.
Evaluates and troubleshoots reported system issues and service requests, data retrieval requests, system performance problems and optimization opportunities, and participates in the timely resolution of these activities.
Escalates issues to the appropriate person/team as needed.
Identifies system changes and works with the team to communicate them to the customers, affected team members and downstream vendor(s).
Develops, maintains and shares documentation of assigned application for troubleshooting, building, and training of other ISS team members.
Project Expectations:

Facilitates the coordination of resources and timelines as required in working with project work plans. Ensures project tasks are clearly outlined with start and end dates within the ISS approved solution. Ensures that the completion of project tasks are on time and helps with issues resolution. Clearly communicates when there is a potential missed deadline and ensure managers, project managers, directors and end users are all aware of a potential missed deadline.
Ticketing solution expectations:

Facilitates the resolution of application errors within the ISS approved SLA (Service Level Agreement). Maintains issue resolution documentation within the ISS approved helpdesk ticketing solution. Keeps tickets updated within a current status. Maintains time…
