* * 6343 Administration-KHMHPrimary responsibility for providing therapeutic recreation services and performing assessments as ordered by physician. Integral part of multidisciplinary team supporting wellness and recovery of patients.
QUALIFICATIONS License /Certification
Required:
National Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) or California Recreation Therapist Certificate (RTC).Staff who will supervise interns must show proof of passing both National and State certifications.
Heart Saver AEDKaweah Health approved crisis intervention training within 60 days of hire/transfer.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Knowledge of related treatments
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Essential Plans individual treatment following physician's orders.
Responsible for developing and implementing patient recreational activity programs.
Completes documentation in a timely manner.
Meets departmental productivity requirements.
Maintains surveillance of environmental conditions within therapy services area.
Additional Assists in the development of policies and procedures, and budget. Assists with orientation of new employees.
Participates in own professional development through continuing education to remain current in new treatment procedures. May also participate in professional organization activities.
Participates in employee evaluation process via peer reviews as requested.
Establishes, cultivates and maintains good relationships with all staff, the community, and outside organizations and agencies.
Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care and services appropriate to the population served on the assigned unit or work area. Knowledgeable of growth and development for all patient/family cultural, linguistic, spiritual, gender, and age specific needs. Able to effectively communicate and care for patient and family as reflected in the Plan for Provision of Care.
Performs other duties as assigned.
** Pay Range**$27.90 -$41.85
