Serpa Packaging Solutions is seeking a talented Senior Accountant to join our growing organization! In this role, you will contribute to the success of the company as a key owner of month-end, weekly communication with Leadership and ad-hoc analysis and reporting. This position reports to the Controller.

Requirements:- Complete month-end data collections and system roll forward processes
- Prepare and distribute weekly and monthly reporting, including continuously streamlining processes, aligning to business partners requirements, and leveraging new tools
- Analyze and prepare month-end journal entries along with being a key contributor and driver in determining ways to shorten the month-end timeline
- Prepare account reconciliations on a monthly basis
- Assist Controller with income statement reviews
- Participate in audits & compliance reporting
- Partner with Sister companies on intercompany transactions
- Partner with Controller, Project Managers and Sales team on the calculation, recording and streamlining of project percentage of completion for both internal and external reporting
- Be the liaison for supporting Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable Shared Services teams, including Concur expense and invoicing
- Support fellow employees with questions and concerns regarding ERP transactions and financial impacts
- Review General Ledger & ERP detail for any potential trending concerns and errors; follow-up with business partners and perform necessary corrections
- Support the Serpa Finance team, Serpa Leadership team, General Manager, VP of Finance, and Business Unit President
- Learn and leverage new reporting tools, such as Spotlight and Tableau
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or equivalent experience
- 3-5 years of financial reporting & relevant accounting experience
- Experience and strong skills in Excel and fully integrated ERP systems
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Overall knowledge of Journal Entries and General Ledger reconciliations
- Demonstrated ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret data and trends
- Trustworthy with strong work ethic
- High organization & communication skills
- Strong technical aptitude
- Demonstrated ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet timelines on deliverables
- Ability to work with minimal direction – independent discretion judgment
- Careful and regimented attention to detail required

Base Salary Range: $70,500 - $90,000
