Controller, Finance & Banking, Accounting Manager

We are conducting a confidential search for a hands-on Controller to oversee accounting, financial reporting, and internal controls for a multi-entity, PE-backed organization. This Controller will partner closely with the CFO and leadership team to deliver accurate financial reporting, strong job costing, and scalable accounting processes.

This Controller role offers a rare opportunity to step into a high-visibility position during a pivotal stage of the company’s growth. Following a recent restructuring, the organization is ready to build strong financial discipline and scale. The Controller will gain direct exposure to private equity, work alongside senior leadership, and play a key role in shaping the future of the finance function.

• Lead accounting and financial reporting across multiple legal entities

• Own job cost accounting, percentage-of-completion (ASC 606), WIP, and revenue recognition

• Manage month-end close, consolidations, intercompany eliminations, and reconciliations

• Oversee inventory, fixed assets, and cost accounting processes

• Partner with operations on project costing, forecasting, KPIs, and margin analysis

• Maintain internal controls and serve as primary contact for external auditors

• Lead and develop a team of accounting professionals

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred

• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience in multi-entity environments

• Strong background in job costing, cost accounting, and intercompany accounting

• Strong communication skills and the ability to partner cross-functionally
