Overview

Sequoias Community College District serves a diverse community of learners and is a designated Hispanic Serving Institution. College of the Sequoias Community College District accepts applications for part-time adjunct faculty pools to teach Health and Wellness within the Physical Education Department on a continuous basis. Screening committees will conduct the screening of candidates. Meeting the minimum qualifications for a position does not assure an interview. If the department does not have an immediate need to add candidates to the pool, applications remain in the queue for consideration until the need arises, or for one year in active status.

Part-time adjunct pools may include weekend and/or evening classes at the Visalia Campus, the Hanford Educational Center, or the Tulare College Center. If you submit a duplicate application, only your most recent will remain active for one year. Part-time adjunct faculty positions are temporary and do not accrue rights to tenure.

Job Duties

Under the general direction of a dean or director, adjunct faculty provide comprehensive classroom instruction to community college students. The majority of departments require the ability to teach face-to-face classes. Current course listings can be found in the Academic Catalog. Adjunct faculty will also be expected to collect and submit data on student learning objectives as needed.

Qualifications

The minimum qualifications for all disciplines may be found within the California Community Colleges Minimum Qualifications for Faculty and Administrators document.
