College of the Sequoias Community College District accepts applications for part-time adjunct faculty pools for the position of Librarian within its Library/Learning Resource Center continuously. Screening committees will conduct the screening of candidates. Meeting the minimum qualifications for a position does not assure the applicant of an interview. If the department does not have an immediate need to add candidates to their pool, applications remain in the queue for consideration until the need arises, or for one year in active status.
PART-TIME ADJUNCT POOLS
Part-Time Adjunct Faculty assignments may include weekend and/or evening classes at the Visalia Campus, the Hanford Educational Center, or the Tulare College Center.
If you submit a duplicate application, only your most recent will remain active for one year. Part-Time Adjunct faculty positions are temporary positions and do not accrue rights to tenure.

Job DutiesUnder the general direction of the Director of Library and Learning Resources, adjunct faculty librarian will provide library services to students, including the following:
- Provide in-person and online reference assistance and research consultation to students, faculty, and staff at the Ask a Librarian desk, including one-on-one appointments, at all three sites (Visalia, Hanford, and/or Tulare).
- Teach library instruction sessions and facilitate library orientations.
- Teach or co-teach library workshops.
- Engage in collection management duties (e.g., weeding, purchasing, and evaluating collections in one or more subject areas).
- Act as library liaison for one or more subject areas.
- Assist teaching faculty in locating academic resources, including Open Educational Resources (OER).
- Create and update online resources (e.g., research guides and websites).
- Promote library resources, services, and outreach efforts to the campus community.
- Has the opportunity to teach credit-bearing library courses.
Earned MLS (MLIS) degree from an American Library Association (ALA) accredited institution OR The Equivalent. (All degrees and units used to satisfy minimum qualifications shall be from accredited institutions).
