Job SummaryThe Roll-Off Truck Driver is responsible for loading work equipment such as skids, steers and other machinery and/or equipment onto Roll-Off truck and safely transport those to various job sites. The Roll-Off driver is also responsible for transporting work related materials such as gravel, broken concrete and dirt to various dumping sites as directed by the Foreman on site.
Responsibilities- Performs daily vehicle and equipment safety inspection of truck components before the first trip of the day and after the last trip of the day using Samsara software and reports unsafe wear and tear or any safety hazards to management.
- Loads Roll-off truck and safely drives equipment to various locations in the DMV area.
- Receives directions from Foreman on what equipment will be needed on the job site and where to deliver material waste.
- Ensures the truck is clean and free of trash and debris at all times.
- Wears PPE as required for duties being performed.
- Must have a CDL Class B and at least 2 years of commercial driving experience, and a clean driving record.
- Pass DOT pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
- Be willing to work overtime, holidays and weekends when necessary.
- Physical ability to lift, push, pull and/or carry up to 80lbs. of materials.
- Speaking and hearing ability sufficient to effectively communicate.
- Manual dexterity and strength sufficient enough to enter information via computer keyboard for long periods of time, to write notes and information needed, and to pick up and hold paperwork, supplies and other items.
