Full-Time in Castlegar, BC - Mid Level - Driver

We are looking for a Class 1 Truck driver to join the Sutco Transportation team in Castlegar BC. • Driver rates: Super Bs: $33.37/hour and Quads: $32.31/hour (before bonuses and other incentives)
• Reliable year‑round, Monday to Friday work that gets you home every day
• 24‑hour dispatch team
• Overtime pay after 60 hours
• Day/night shift rotation
• Weekend work when available
• Paid chain‑up and wait time
• 4% vacation pay
• Safety & performance bonuses
• Direct deposit pay, twice monthly
• Paid training, state‑of‑the‑art equipment and ISAAC E‑logs

• Entry level program for new drivers

• Conduct pre and post trip inspections on equipment operated, ensuring safety, road worthiness and regulatory compliance.
• Load and unload wood residual fibre products in a safe and efficient manner.
• Ensure safe transportation of freight by securing goods while loading and unloading.
• Tarp vehicle using manual or auto tarps as available.
• Chain-up vehicle based on road conditions.
• Complete all electronic records regarding working hours, vehicle status and maintenance records using the industry’s best fleet management system, ISAAC.
• Ensure trucks are left clean and safe at the end of each shift.

• Class 1 Driver’s Licence
• Willingness to do rotational shift work
• 2 years of trucking experience preferred
• Mountain driving and Super‑B experience preferred
• Acceptable driver’s abstract, based on Sutco’s abstract review policy
• Ability to enter the US for work purposes preferred
