Position Information

• Full‑time Route Driver – Utility positions

  Canteen – 2200 Lanier Lane, Rockville, VA 23146
• Schedule:
  
  Full time; days and hours vary; weekends included
• Pay: $230 per day or commission, with on‑site training

Drives a company‑owned truck over established routes, delivering and selling products, collecting money from vending machines, and providing customer service.

• Serve a particular route or location during the absence of the regular route employee.
• Assist Customer Service Managers with daily opening and closing of the operation, and training of new route service personnel.
• Drive truck to deliver items such as soft drinks, bakery products, specialty foods, snack items, and sundries to customers’ place of business.
• Place stock in vending machines; collect stale, rejected or unsold merchandise; collect money from machines and refill bill and coin changers.
• Record transactions on appropriate card and/or electronic device; be accountable for cash and product.
• Call on existing customers to determine adequacy of service; inform regular customers of new products and/or services; listen to and resolve service complaints.
• Select items from warehouse and load truck; prepare order forms for food and pastry products.
• Perform routine maintenance on and sanitation of machines.
• Set up merchandise and sales promotion displays or issue sales promotion materials to customers.
• Maintain clean and safe work environment; perform job safely.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
