We’re hiring a part‑time technician with strong mechanical and electrical instincts who can support field service, troubleshooting, and assembly work either on‑site in Richmond VA or remotely with up to 50% travel. Role Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues on packaging and material‑handling equipment
  • Troubleshoot motors, sensors, wiring faults, and basic PLC/HMI issues
  • Support equipment installations, rebuilds, and commissioning tasks
  • Perform remote technical support when appropriate (video calls, guided troubleshooting, documentation review)
  • Complete clear, professional service reports and communicate findings to engineering
  • Maintain safe, clean, and organized work practices on customer sites
  • Represent Pack Flow with professionalism, reliability, and customer‑first communication
Required Skills & Experience
  • Hands‑on experience with industrial machinery, mechanical systems, or electrical troubleshooting
  • Ability to read wiring diagrams, schematics, and mechanical drawings
  • Familiarity with Allen‑Bradley hardware is a plus (PLCs, drives, HMIs)
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for occasional travel
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work safely around energized equipment
  • For remote candidates: stable internet connection and comfort with remote diagnostic tools is a must
Schedule & Compensation
  • Part‑time, flexible hours based on project and service demand
  • Typical workload: 10–20 hours per week, with occasional short‑notice service calls
