Maintenance Assistant II - HVAC

General Statement of Duties

THIS POSITION IS OPEN UNTIL FILLED. Assist A/C Mechanics to repair and maintain HVAC equipment in school facilities.

Essential Duties

• Assists Air Conditioning (A/C) Mechanics;
• Participates in training relative to job;
• Transports equipment as needed;
• Attends work daily and be engaged and on task;
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Graduation from high school, trade school or equivalent. Demonstrate general mechanical ability with hand tools.

Additional Information

This position is open until filled. starting rate is $15.79/hour or subject to the HCPS promotional policy for internal candidates. School year, Monday-Friday-7-3:30 pm;
Summer hours are Monday-Thursday 6 - 4:30 pm.

Physical condition that will permit activities including, but not limited to, heavy lifting, bending, driving, and working under adverse temperatures and/or weather conditions. Ability to work from high altitudes using scaffold, ladders, etc. Must possess a valid Operators License issued by the state of Virginia.
