MAAG Gala, Inc. is a leading manufacturer of gear pumps, pelletizing systems and filtration systems for the plastics, chemical, petrochemical, and food industries.
Responsibilities- Lead the maintenance team and overall program for facility maintenance.
- Troubleshoot problems with electrical equipment.
- Repair and maintain existing equipment.
- Maintain repair and maintenance logs and records.
- Coordinate electrical installation of new equipment.
- Secure quotes and provide recommendations on equipment and Cap Ex investments.
- Install and maintain test equipment in the assembly bays.
- Perform regularly scheduled preventive maintenance on established schedules.
- Install electrical services to various areas within the warehouse and office areas as required.
- Work overtime hours as necessary.
- Work with outside services and utility companies for third‑party work and projects.
- Apply quality, accident prevention and occupational safety practices.
Minimum requirements:
- Journeyman Electrical license.
- Strong aptitude in reading electrical schematics and drawings.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with Arc Flash 70E standards (desirable).
- Computer literate; good verbal and written communication skills.
- Electrical Engineering Degree (desirable).
Desired skills:
- Experience with calibrators, counters, probes, scopes and meters used in the electrical profession.
- Strong team player; independent self‑starter.
- Excellent customer‑focused communication.
- Stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl and climb regularly.
- Lift up to 50 pounds.
- Operate hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms.
- Vision requirements: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
