Industrial Electrician

MAAG Gala, Inc. is a leading manufacturer of gear pumps, pelletizing systems and filtration systems for the plastics, chemical, petrochemical, and food industries.

• Lead the maintenance team and overall program for facility maintenance.
• Troubleshoot problems with electrical equipment.
• Repair and maintain existing equipment.
• Maintain repair and maintenance logs and records.
• Coordinate electrical installation of new equipment.
• Secure quotes and provide recommendations on equipment and Cap Ex investments.
• Install and maintain test equipment in the assembly bays.
• Perform regularly scheduled preventive maintenance on established schedules.
• Install electrical services to various areas within the warehouse and office areas as required.
• Work overtime hours as necessary.
• Work with outside services and utility companies for third‑party work and projects.
• Apply quality, accident prevention and occupational safety practices.

Minimum requirements:

• Journeyman Electrical license.
• Strong aptitude in reading electrical schematics and drawings.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with Arc Flash 70E standards (desirable).
• Computer literate; good verbal and written communication skills.
• Electrical Engineering Degree (desirable).

• Experience with calibrators, counters, probes, scopes and meters used in the electrical profession.
• Strong team player; independent self‑starter.
• Excellent customer‑focused communication.

• Stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl and climb regularly.
• Lift up to 50 pounds.
• Operate hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms.
• Vision requirements: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
