Job Responsibilities:
* Installs, maintains, and repairs utility electrical systems up to 4160 volts including circuit breakers, motor starters, protection systems, motor control centers, lighting systems, conduit, and wiring.
* Installs and maintains safety systems including emergency lighting, fire alarm systems, uninterruptible power systems, battery systems, and utility communications systems.
* Installs, analyzes, maintains, and repairs control equipment that includes Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC).
* Assists with troubleshooting and maintenance of utility control systems including boilers, material handling (conveyors), chillers, and water treatment systems.

Basic Qualifications:
* High school diploma or GED.
* 2 years of experience working in an industrial plant environment
* Licensed Journeyman-level electrician or successful completion of state certified apprenticeship program in utility systems, industrial plant, process plant, or power plant with motor controls and station power systems operating at a minimum of 4160 volts.
Additional Qualifications:
* Knowledge of utility systems and equipment
* Ability to work an 8 hour rotating shift
* Knowledge of tools and methods necessary to troubleshoot and maintain electrical and electronic equipment
* Knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques used in the electrical field
* Knowledge of the principles of electronics
* Knowledge of and ability to interpret local, state, and national electrical codes
* Knowledge of OSHA regulations and ability to comply with OSHA procedures
* Ability to read and understand blueprints, control system drawings and repair manuals
* Ability to perform basic math computations
* Ability to communicate effectively
* Ability to follow oral and written instructions
The hourly rate for this position is $43.56
