Job Title

Maintenance Technician

Job Overview

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for general building repairs and maintenance, repairing warehouse equipment and completing handyman work as needed both inside the Distribution Center and around the property.

Responsibilities include:

  • General building maintenance including carpentry, painting and electrical repairs.
  • Landscaping including lawn care/snow removal around the building property.
  • Concrete and floor repairs.
  • Maintain accurate records (Service Channel) of all Maintenance tasks performed as instructed.
  • Operating equipment in a safe manner.
  • Operate in a safe manner for benefit of self and others and maintain a watchful eye for unsafe practices and situations.
  • All other duties as assigned.

  • Ability to communicate proactively and effectively including comprehending and communicating detailed instructions, reading and writing, and having knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures as required by the position.
  • General building maintenance skills including carpentry, painting, and electrical repairs.
  • Ability to safely and effectively utilize basic hand tools such as saws, drills, etc.
  • Knowledge of fork-lift or other industrial equipment repair and operation.
  • Able to multitask and manage competing priorities
  • Basic computer skills for maintaining and managing work orders, email, etc.
Preferred Competencies & Skills
  • Multi trade skillset for handyman repairs including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and painting.
  • Skilled in welding

Minimum Qualifications
  • Previous facilities repair and maintenance experience.
  • Ability to operate and knowledge of fork-lift or industrial equipment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent experience in facilities maintenance.
  • Ability to communicate proactively and effectively including comprehending and communicating detailed instructions, reading and writing, and having knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures as required by the position.
  • Skilled in multi-tasking and managing competing priorities.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours determined by needs of department including weekends.
  • Ability to safely and effectively utilize general hand tools, saws , drills, etc.
  • Use of a computer for email and to manage Service Channel work orders.
