Maintenance Technician / Mechanic, Welder / MIG/MAG/TIG
Location: Sterling
Performs professional fabrication work to construct chemical plant processes based on engineering instruction and design. The work includes table welding on site welding, pipe fitting, Heavy equipment operation), and problem solving. Training will be required, but basic knowledge in these areas is required. This job will consist of approximately 95% work in the plant.
Essential Functions- Welding. TIG, MIG, or ARC
- Pipe fitting: PVC, Stainless, or Carbon steel
- Heavy equipment operation (forklifts telehandlers, and personnel lifts)
- Willing to learn how to read PnID and PFD drawings
- Analyze and trouble shoot fabrication issues
- Take notes when needed.
- Assist in Modifying the existing plant processes
- Assist in any plant issues no matter how small
- Comply with all Federal, State and Local laws.
- Have the ability to fluently read, write, and speak in English.
- Adhere to guidelines, policies and procedures as described in the Jacam handbook.
- Adhere to Jacam’s Drug and Alcohol policy and agrees to submit to random drug testing as a condition of employment.
- Knowledge of welding and pipe fitting is required either through schooling or empirical application
- 7+ months of Trade school welding instruction preferred
- Current or former welding certification preferred
- Job experience preferred
