Diesel Mechanic

Job Description

As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel-powered vehicles and machinery. You will ensure that all work is completed to industry standards, prioritize safety, and provide exceptional service.

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on diesel engines and related systems.
• Perform routine maintenance and inspections on diesel vehicles and equipment.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs and services performed.
• Communicate with management about vehicle and equipment status.
• Test and adjust systems to ensure optimal performance.
• Collaborate with a team of mechanics to troubleshoot complex problems.
• Follow all safety protocols and regulations.

• High school diploma or equivalent (additional technical training is a plus).
• Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic (2+ years preferred).
• In-depth knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, and other mechanical systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in a physically demanding environment.
• ASE certification or similar is a plus.
