Overview
Virginia Farm Bureau is hiring an Insurance Sales Agent to join our team in the Westmoreland County Farm Bureau Office in Montross, VA. We’re looking for a driven, self-motivated, and goal-oriented individual with strong interpersonal skills to build relationships and serve community members and organizations. This is a W-2 employee position with base salary, commissions, and bonuses; top performers earn elaborate trips.
Responsibilities- Review and service an existing book of business provided to W-2 agents.
- Build relationships with community members and organizations.
- Conduct sales activities to grow insurance coverage options (Property & Casualty, Life, Health & Annuities) as licensed or licensed with training provided.
- Achieve quotas and performance targets; actively pursue growth opportunities.
- Property & Casualty license and Life, Health & Annuities license, or ability to obtain them with Virginia Farm Bureau providing and paying for licensing training materials/class.
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
- Good time management skills and the ability to work independently.
- Prior sales experience (any industry) helpful but not required.
- Goal-oriented and driven to succeed.
