We are currently seeking a qualified individual for the Hourly Route Sales position, joining our Seaford, DE team and servicing the Chincoteague, VA area.

• HOURLY RATE: $17.10-$20.00/hour
• SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday approximately 45-55 hours a week.

Job Summary: Safely drives step-van delivery truck over assigned routes to sell, deliver, and merchandise products, providing excellent customer service to grocery, mass merchandise, and independent chain stores.

Qualifications You Bring:

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid driver's license in current state of residence.
• Excellent driving record.
• No more than 2 moving violations in the past 3 years.
• No DUI’s in the past 3 years.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Pass a job-related assessment with a score of 70% or better.
• Pass a drug test; participate in random drug testing.
• Ability to read, write, understand, and speak English.
• Stable work history with good references.
• Sound judgment, adaptability to work and driving conditions.
• Strong communication, persuasion, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage priorities.

Physical Demands:

• Constant reaching; frequently sitting, standing, walking, bending, squatting, kneeling, climbing, driving, and lifting up to 32 pounds.
• Occasionally lifting and carrying up to 48 pounds; pushing or pulling up to 40 pounds.

Key Responsibilities:

• Sell, deliver, stock, and merchandise Herr's snack foods.
• Build relationships with key decision makers and provide excellent customer service.
• Solicit new accounts to increase customer base.
• Execute promotional programs and manage product displays.
• Rotate and provide credit for stale or damaged items.
• Process orders using hand-held devices.
• Manage inventory accuracy daily.
• Conduct daily vehicle safety inspections and maintain cleanliness.
