Customer Sales & Service Representative

Applied Industrial Technologies is seeking a Customer Sales & Service Representative to provide expert assistance to customers, build relationships, and help solve problems across a wide variety of industrial products.

• Assist customers by phone and in person at our facility.
• Clarify customer needs, conduct research, and recommend parts after gaining product knowledge.
• Focus on meeting or exceeding monthly sales goals while increasing customer satisfaction.
• Process quotes, take orders, and provide post‑order service.

Our Customer Service Representatives are self‑motivated and driven by a desire to exceed expectations. They have strong prioritization and multitasking skills, a sense of urgency, and take pride in their verbal and written communication. Interpersonal skills and the ability to establish rapport and build solid relationships with a wide variety of customers are critical.

• 6 months of customer service experience preferred.
• Desire to increase knowledge in industrial distribution products.
• Excellent telephone skills.
• Ability and desire to learn new systems and processes quickly.
• Enjoys working with computers, including basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook & Excel) and comfortable with Google search.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record (MVR).
• SAP/ERP experience preferred but not required.
• Some knowledge of industrial distribution products and hydraulics preferred but not required.

Starting salary will be based on experience and qualifications, with added incentives earned based on performance.
