On-Demand:
Guest Advocate (Cashier), General Merchandise, Fulfillment, Food and Beverage, Style (T2017) role s is an On-Demand TM position with a flexible schedule; you can work as much or as little as you like, with shifts posted by leaders or other team members via the myTime app.

You can work as much or as little as you like as an On-Demand Team Member (TM) and your schedule may vary depending on shift availability and store needs. This role is ideal for those looking for a personalized work schedule. As an On-Demand TM, you will not be included on the posted weekly schedule, but you can create your own schedule by picking up shifts posted by leaders or other team members via the myTime mobile scheduling app.

When you pick up a shift, reliable and prompt attendance is necessary. You should engage actively by picking up shifts at least once every 4 weeks (minimum of four hours). If you do not respond to our contact attempts or do not work a shift within 5 months, employment may be terminated.

Your communication and ability to work when the business demands it are critical to success in this role. A Target Welcome orientation and a short-term structured training schedule are required, after which you can use the myTime app to pick shifts.

Advocates of guest experience who welcome, thank, and exceed guest service expectations by focusing on interaction, loyalty enrollment, and store cleanliness. Knowledgeable about both in-store and digital services and solutions that drive adoption and loyalty. Able to make shopping quick and easy for guests at checklanes, guest services, gift registry, pick-up and drive up, while ensuring quality.

• Promoting and guiding through benefits, offerings and services

• Deliver the service standard and greet guests as you operate daily tasks
• Assist guests to solve their specific needs with a welcoming approach
• Be knowledgeable about tools, products, and services to resolve issues and improve guest experience
• Scan and bag items efficiently, in line with safety standards
• Minimize guest wait times while maintaining service and accuracy
• Inform guests about brand launches, store activities, and events
• Explain and enroll guests in Target Loyalty programs; direct to fulfillment services when needed
• Educate guests on Target App features and Wallet
• Handle returns following policies; escalate to leadership as needed
• De-escalate situations with leadership support
• Support OPU, Drive Up, and Registry guests with accurate service
• Maintain a clean, organized work area; stock supplies during open hours
• Demonstrate ethical conduct, safety, and compliance
• Follow safety policies and report hazards
• Assist with cash office processes as needed
• All other duties based on business needs

• Ability to scan, move merchandise safely; lift up to 10 pounds regularly and up to 44 pounds occasionally
• Flexibility to pick up shifts (nights, weekends, holidays)
• Active engagement to pick up and work shifts; must work at least one shift within 5 months or be administratively terminated
• Comfort with varying temperatures and environments (Drive-Up, carryout, etc.)
• Ability to remain mobile for shift duration
