Job Order In Connection With H-2B Application

The Homestead, L.C. d/b/a The Omni Homestead Resort, headquartered at 7696 Sam Snead Highway, Hot Springs, VA 24445; phone number: , is seeking to fill ten (10) Bartender positions from March 11, 2026, to January 10, 2027. This is for full-time, peak-load, temporary employment.

Responsibilities

Duties include:

As a bartender, the worker must prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in a timely and professional manner, taking customer orders, offering drink recommendations, and answering questions about the menu. They are responsible for maintaining a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar area, checking guest identification to verify legal drinking age, and ensuring responsible alcohol service. Handling cash and card transactions accurately using POS systems is essential, along with monitoring guest behavior and intervening when necessary to maintain a safe environment.

The bartender must collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service, keep track of inventory, and notify management of low stock or supply needs while complying with all health and safety regulations.

Special Requirements

Special Requirements:
One (1) year as a bartender in a fast-paced bar, restaurant, or hospitality environment is required. The worker must possess knowledge of various drink recipes, spirits, wines, and beers. Excel in providing excellent customer service and interpersonal skills. The worker must also be capable of multitasking and remaining calm under pressure while maintaining strong attention to detail and cleanliness. Meet the legal age requirements for serving alcohol and have flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Additionally, the worker must possess certifications like TIPS or Serv Safe for responsible alcohol service or be able to obtain the Serv Safe Food Handler Certification. Must have basic English skills.

Pay

The pay is $21.53 per hour with overtime available at $32.30 per hour, based on the hourly rate.

Work Schedule

The work schedule is as follows: 35 hours per week, with Varied 7-hour shifts from Sunday to Saturday; 10:30 am to 6:00 pm or 3:30 pm to 11:00 pm. The requested temporary workers will be based at 7696 Sam Snead Highway, Hot Springs, VA 24445 - Bath County - BLS:
Northwest Virginia nonmetropolitan area. Employer will not provide transportation to and from available optional housing to the Hotel, since housing is within walking distance of the resort.

Compensation Details

Single workweek will be used in computing wages due. Pay period is bi-weekly. The employer will make all deductions required by law. The employer offers optional housing at a $312.00 bi-weekly deduction. An additional $250.00 security deposit is required, paid over five pay periods. If move-out procedures and housing regulations are followed, $100.00 of the deposit is refundable. Dorm-style housing:
Each bedroom is shared by two associates, and the bathroom is shared between two bedrooms, accommodating four associates in total. Shared kitchen and laundry facilities are available.

Transportation, Meals, and Visa Fees

Transportation, including meals and, to the extent necessary, lodging, to the place of employment will be provided, or its cost to workers reimbursed by a company check, separate from the payroll check, if the worker completes half of the employment period. If the worker completes 50% of the work contract period, employer will arrange and pay directly for transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work.

Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, employer will provide or pay for worker's reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back to home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economically and reasonable common carrier or the distance involved.

Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of $16.28 per day during travel to a maximum of $68.00 per day with receipts. Reimbursement in the first work week for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by the government, incurred by the H-2B worker (but not included passport expenses or other charges primarily for the benefit of the worker).

Guarantee

The employer guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays in each 12-week period of the total employment period only to the extent that this guarantee is enforced by the Department of Labor. As of the date of this posting, the three-fourths guarantee is not enforced, but this is subject to change.
