GRILL COOK (PART TIME)

Location:

Abbott Labs – 1518 Route 29 North, Altavista, VA 24517.

Schedule:

Part time, Monday through Friday, 4:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Pay Range: $16.00 to $17.00 per hour.

Prepares food and serves customers at the grill station in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and corporate standards, guidelines, and regulations to ensure high‑quality food service is provided.

• Takes orders from customers and prepares items requiring short preparation. Completes orders from steam tables and serves customers at multiple stations.
• Serves customers in an efficient, friendly manner, ensuring food temperature and appearance meet standards.
• Uses established ticket‑collection procedures and maintains records during service.
• Uses approved recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures, and portion control.
• Carries pans, kettles, and trays of food to and from workstations in accordance with safety standards.
• Stores foods in designated areas following standard wrapping, dating, and food‑safety rotation procedures.
• Cleans, sanitizes, and maintains all assigned work areas, equipment, and utensils to meet sanitation standards.
• Resolves customer concerns and reports relevant information to supervisors.
• Attends in‑service and safety meetings.
• Maintains good working relationships with coworkers, customers, administrators, and managers.
• Performs job safely while maintaining a clean, safe work environment.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Prior food service experience is required.
• Ability to work the specified part‑time schedule.
• Excellent customer service and teamwork skills.
• Attention to food safety and sanitation practices.
