Licensed Veterinary Technician

• Deliver compassionate nursing care
• Obtain laboratory sample collection, process and possibly interpret results (fecal/parasite analysis, ear cytology, skin cytology, urinalysis, blood smears)
• Surgical preparation, anesthetic monitoring and recovery
• Perform dental prophies
• Perform diagnostic imaging
• Fill prescriptions and review directions with clients
• Patient restraint
• Communicate with clients regarding variety of topics
• Support other members of the team

• Exceptional communication skills for in person and on the phone
• Able to work under pressure and potentially stressful situations while handling multiple tasks
• Attention to detail, excellent record keeping
• Perform venipuncture for phlebotomy and catheter placement
• Assist veterinarian with appointments along with performing various technical based appointments (i.e. bandage change, anal gland expression)
• Computer skills and willingness to embrace technology
• Team-oriented and outgoing attitude
• Self motivated to achieve results and maintain high standards
• Provide outstanding experience for our clients and patients

Job Type: Full-time or Part-time

Pay: $21.83 - $23.79 per hour

Expected hours: 20-35 per week

• Associate or Certification Equivalent (Required)
