Work ShiftMonday‑Friday, Day shift. No nights, holidays or weekends.
Job DescriptionThe Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides basic nursing care under the supervision of an RN or Licensed Independent Practitioner (LIP). The LPN is detail‑oriented, compassionate, and able to handle physically demanding tasks. The LPN is an essential member of the healthcare team offering patient care and supporting higher‑level nurses and physicians in delivering comprehensive medical services. Functions under the supervision of an RN or LIP in the clinical setting, within the scope of practice dictated by the State Boards of Nursing.
Demonstrates professional and clinical knowledge, adheres to verified competency, supports and communicates effectively with physicians, NPs, PAs, and other staff. Performs testing, medication administration, and nursing interventions and care plans to support a holistic approach to patient care. Serves as patient advocate to prevent illness or disease. BLS within 90 days of hire.
- Trade school or diploma LPN
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) single state license – Virginia Department of Health Professionals (VADHP)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 90 days of hire
- Clinical experience preferred
