Working under the supervision of the Forensic Program Coordinator, the PRN Forensic Nurse will assess, plan, and implement the individual patient care of any patient that presents with a complaint of sexual assault/abuse, interpersonal violence, or elder or child abuse/neglect/maltreatment according to the Augusta Health Forensic Nursing/Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner Policy. The Forensic Nurse will strive to support the philosophy and core values of the hospital and function as a representative of Augusta Health when in contact with the community.

This is a PRN position that requires at least 36 hours of call per month.

• A Registered Nurse with at least two years of experience in patient care. Ideally the candidate has completed a SANE classroom course and all appropriate clinical and has received a completion certificate from a certified instructor. If not, training will be provided. A nurse who has an interest in promoting forensic nursing.
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred but not required. CPR certification required.
• Demonstrates ability to interact with multidisciplinary teams, communicate needs, and work with peers to establish smooth functioning.
