What does the Infusion Registered Nurse (RN) do?Under minimal supervision, the RN provides professional nursing care that meets national and company standards. The RN collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to assess and manage patient and family needs, adheres to the United States Oncology Compliance Program, and follows the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.
Responsibilities- Plan, implement, coordinate, evaluate and promote continuity of care according to established standards.
- Assess patient/family needs and provide teaching and instructional material.
- Prepare and administer therapies under physician direction, ensuring correct medications, dosages, routes, times, and technique.
- Ensure pre‑authorization and consent forms are obtained before therapy administration.
- Facilitate dose modifications by assessing patient, labs, protocols, calculating dose, and consulting physicians on dosage changes, problems, and symptom management.
- Perform venipuncture, access implanted ports, and maintain central line devices.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient care and treatments.
- Apply knowledge of reimbursement procedures and charge capture.
- Graduated from an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.
- Minimum 0–3 years of RN experience.
- Willing to consider entry, mid, or senior‑level candidates.
- Current RN state license in the practicing state.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Physical RequirementsRequires full range of body motion, handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity, eye‑hand coordination, standing and walking for extended periods. Occasionally lifts items up to 40 lb and requires corrected vision and hearing within a normal range.
