Job Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg night shift position requiring a VA or compact RN license and AHA BLS certification.
Responsibilities- Work in a Medical Surgical unit within a hospital setting
- Night shifts, three 12-hour shifts per week (18:30 - 07:00)
- General orientation begins on Sundays with online training modules
- Must participate in clinical education and support of nursing students as part of the clinical care team
- Responsible for providing care to adult medical and surgical patients
- Expected to support and mentor nursing students as part of daily responsibilities
- Dress code and scrub requirements follow standard hospital policies
- Orientation includes 16 hours of nonbillable training
- Holiday coverage may be required
- Additional shifts may be adjusted based on hospital census
- Active VA or compact RN license required at the time of consideration
- AHA BLS certification required
- NIHSS certification preferred
- Permanent residence must be at least 100 miles from the hospital's service area
- Recent supervisor references required
