Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an inpatient acute rehab unit, requiring independent work and a VA or compact RN license.

• Position is in an acute rehab unit inside an acute-care hospital
• Night shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts (7p-7a)
• Patient ratio is 1:8 on a small 8-bed unit
• Patient population includes stroke, neuro diagnoses, and some trauma cases
• Patients participate in three hours of PT, OT, or SLP daily
• Meditech is the charting system utilized
• Floating required to skilled nursing units or similar med/surg units
• Supported by a CNA with additional nursing staff available elsewhere in the facility
• Scrub color required is navy blue
• Work involves care coordination during intensive rehabilitation therapy
• Exposure to neuro and trauma cases is expected

• Active VA or compact RN license required
• Must be comfortable working independently as the only RN on duty for the shift
• Prior rehab or acute-care RN experience preferred
• Two professional references required for consideration
