Mission Technologies, a division of HII, seeks a Full Stack Developer to support the United States Postal Service (USPS) Office of Inspector General (OIG) in Arlington, VA. The individual will provide front‑end and back‑end webapp development and administration, configuration, security assurance, automation, and scripting support. The role requires residence in the Washington DC Metro area; you will report to the Arlington, VA office twice per pay period.

- Work with data scientists and analysts to rapidly design, implement, test, and deploy applications capable of tackling complex analytical tasks using large datasets.
- Communicate with end users, team lead, and team members to create and support new products and features.
- Communicate with product users to enhance or troubleshoot products.
- Design client‑side and server‑side architecture.
- Build the front‑end of applications through appealing visual design.
- Write effective APIs and build features and applications with a responsive design.
- Write technical documentation and support data governance strategy.
- Function in an Agile based team environment.
- Manage and administer Microsoft Entra (Azure AD) authenticated Single Sign‑on (SSO) based security controls, including user provisioning, de‑provisioning, group synchronization, management of authentication policies and API tokens/credentials used for integrations.
- Demonstrate an understanding of Jira configuration hierarchy and administer all core schemes and associated entities (Workflows, Issue Types, Priorities, Fields, Screens, Permissions, etc.).
- Develop, administer, and optimize complex Automation Rules across Jira and Confluence, including advanced functionality requiring custom code, external API calls, and the use of Smart Values.
- Perform expert‑level command of JQL, including advanced functions and filter administration.
- Administer, develop, and apply custom solutions using Script Runner for Jira Cloud and Confluence Cloud, requiring a thorough grasp of Groovy and API calls to Jira, Confluence, or other external tools.
- 2 years relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree in a related field; or 0 years experience with a Master’s; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 6 years relevant experience.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or related field.
- 3+ years JavaScript development experience (client‑side and server‑side).
- 5+ years of full stack development experience.
- 5+ years of experience writing code in languages such as Python, JavaScript, SQL, or C#.
- Experience designing and integrating different API architectures (e.g. REST, gRPC).
- Experience in server management and deployment for varying environments such as Azure or AWS.
- Knowledge of multiple front‑end languages and libraries, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Type Script, or jQuery.
- Knowledge of front‑end frameworks such as Angular, React, or Node.js.
- Knowledge of back‑end languages such as Python or C# and frameworks such as Flask or Django.
- Familiarity with databases (e.g. MySQL, Teradata) and web servers (e.g. Apache).
- Knowledge of message brokers (e.g. Kafka, Event Hub), version control (e.g. Azure Dev Ops, Git Hub) and Web Sockets.
- Knowledge of architectural patterns such as Monolith, Microservices, Serverless, Service Mesh.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a USPS Sensitive Clearance.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder and have lived in the U.S. for at least the last five years.
- Must not have traveled outside the United States for more than 180 days in the last five years.
