We are seeking an experienced Psychiatrist or Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to provide comprehensive psychiatric care in a super maximum-security correctional facility serving approximately 848 adult male inmates. This role offers a structured schedule, strong physician collaboration, and a focused clinical environment.
- 36–40 hours per week
- No call
- Super max correctional facility
- Care provided in:
- On-site mental health clinic
- Inmate housing units/cells, as clinically indicated
- Security staff present during all encounters
- Multidisciplinary correctional health team
- Collaborative, team-based care model
- Psychiatric evaluations and diagnostic assessments
- Medication management for serious mental illness
- Crisis intervention and suicide risk assessments
- Development and oversight of treatment plans
- Timely, compliant clinical documentation
- Board-Certified / Board-Eligible Psychiatrist OR
- Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)
- Active or eligible state license

REQUIRED:
Minimum 3+ years of correctional psychiatry experience within the past 10 years - Comfortable practicing in a secure, highly structured environment
- Predictable schedule with no call
- Meaningful work serving an underserved community
- Stable, professional correctional healthcare setting
