Overview
Primary responsibility of this role is to provide quality installations, inspections, maintenance and repairs of hoist and crane equipment. Breakdowns will require troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical components and circuits. Compensation will be determined based on experience.
Primary Responsibilities- Inspect overhead industrial cranes and hoists to verify safety and compliance with Manufacturer, OSHA and ANSI standards.
- Perform installation of new systems, including layouts, steel erection and field wiring.
- Troubleshoot and repair overhead material handling equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment (strong knowledge of motor controls).
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance activities on equipment.
- Evaluate and make recommendations regarding required repairs.
- Support our customer base by effectively communicating equipment repair schedules and time estimates.
- Strong communication skills and a willingness to work individually or as part of a team are required.
Work will take place in various environments and working conditions depending on assignment. Overtime will be required. Working at heights & some heavy lifting. Applicants with fewer qualifications will be considered at a lower level.
The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of AC/DC theory, ability to trouble-shoot 480
VAC 3 phase motor control systems and strong mechanical aptitude, all of which has been developed through a minimum 3 - 5 years of experience in an industrial maintenance environment and/or equivalent military experience.
A valid driver's license and clean driving record are required.
A background check and drug test will be required.
Demonstrate a proven commitment to safety, and be comfortable working at heights.
Job Type & HoursJob Type: Full-time
Expected hours: 40 - 50 per week. Some weeks may be greater than this and this is project dependent.
Schedule- Min. 8 hour shifts per day with overtime after 8 hours in a single day
