Miller Sports is seeking experienced sanders for wood sport flooring installations. Sanders are responsible for all aspects of the surface prep (sanding) to prepare for finishing process (sealing/painting/finish coats). Candidates must be willing to travel (primarily Mid-Atlantic region).

• Sanding of new system installations and refinishing of installed/existing surfaces
• Operations of riding sanders and other sanders/tools to smooth/prepare floors (edgers), including small spaces/corners
• Removal of imperfections
• Work with several different types of wood
• Calibrate and maintain floor sanding machines/equipment
• Examine floors to make sure surfaces are ready for finishing process (sealing/paint/finish coats)/remediate protruding nail heads
• Refasten or replace pieces of old flooring before sanding
• Sweep and vacuum floor after sanding
• Finish floors with buffer or light sander
• Safe transport of equipment/tools
• Ability to communicate, problem solve and work within a crew
• Some overnight travel is required (primarily Mid-Atlantic region)

• 1 to 2 years’ experience sanding residential/athletic flooring
• Surface/floor maintenance experience
• Requires physical work with the ability to lift up to 50 pounds independently and 100+ pounds as a team lift

• Wood Sport Systems (installers/Sanders/Painters)
