Installer Helper

Overview

PSS is looking for an Installer Helper to contribute to our corporate growth and help us maintain our position as an innovative authority within the industry. The ideal candidate will take initiative, be dependable, and be detail‑oriented.

In this role, you will assist in the installation of high‑security doors, frames, and hardware at various job sites. Your responsibilities will include measuring and preparing installation areas, assembling and fitting door components, and ensuring proper alignment and functionality.

We seek someone with experience in construction or carpentry, excellent problem‑solving skills, and a commitment to safety and quality.

• Work as an Apprentice on the installation of STC, Blast, Ballistic, FE , RF, and Multi‑Threat door systems.
• Assist in framing, drywall, finishing, and painting as required.
• Attend and pass Certified Door Installer classes to obtain certifications on all door sets (PSS will pay for the classes).
• Be proactive in learning the overall management of a job site and door installation to become a Lead Certified Door Installer.
• Become OSHA 30 and CPR certified and maintain such certifications.
• Maintain a current driver’s license and clean driving record to drive company vehicles as needed.
• Maintain a clean record to be cleared for access to Government Facilities that require full background checks.
• Maintain close attention to detail.
• Always maintain collaborative and professional communications with PSS staff.
• Reliable and able to work up to 10 hours per day as needed.
• Maintain a professional appearance and conduct.
• Ability to lift and move heavy materials such as doors and frames.
• At times, weekend work is required.
• At times, travel is required.
• Random drug testing is a requirement of PSS and our clients.
