Brightstar is seeking a Lottery Field Services Technician in the area of South Hill, VA. The technician will service Brightstar equipment at retailer (customer) locations and will be part of our award‑winning lottery services organization. • Respond to dispatches and drive to customer locations within a specified zone to deliver supplies and install, remove, or repair lottery equipment and communication devices.
• Transport, install (if applicable), and maintain Brightstar equipment, replacement parts, tools, and other equipment in an organized manner.
• Maintain equipment to promote continuous operation.
• Troubleshoot to restore malfunctioning equipment to working order, including swapping failed components, cleaning, and minor adjustments.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and accurately report activity, arrival, departure times, and problem details and resolutions.
• Deliver marketing supplies and consumable parts such as paper, ribbons, betslips, etc., and track inventory.
• Deliver basic training to new retailers or refresher training to retailers performing procedures incorrectly.
• Complete basic forms for reporting activities, equipment problems, and recommendations for improvements.
• Attend driver training and follow Brightstar vehicle policy regarding use and maintenance of the company vehicle.

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical or I.T.–related training or education is a plus.
• 2+ years of electronics, repair, field, or related industry experience.

• Knowledgeable in electronics, data communications, or related area of expertise.
• Must be able to climb, lift, and carry equipment weighing up to fifty pounds.
• Must be able to sit and drive for prolonged periods of time.
• Demonstrate dexterity when working with tools and moving parts and electrical current.
• May work at heights for installation of equipment, work in close quarters, and be exposed to inclement weather during some installations.
