We are looking for a highly motivated, creative Group Sales & Operations Manager that is passionate about sustainable adventure travel. The role is not just about being strong at sales but also relationship management and business operations. This role is a critical role within the B2B Sales organization to help drive growth targets for the Americas market.
The Group Sales & Operations Manger is responsible for delivering both Tour Operator and Groups business by cultivating relationships with the buyers, driving brand awareness, and identifying new tour operator and group prospects. By effectively representing the Hurtigruten brand to the current and potential new partners, this position strives for successful execution of their sales plan and achievement of the passenger and revenue goals.
This role is highly operational and requires savvy sales experience.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships by delivering excellent service and understanding customer needs
- Support the sales team with group bookings, including special requests, passenger details, and booking changes
- Collaborate with Group Fulfilment Teams to improve group processes, systems, and communication
- Track group performance across all markets and review monthly materialisation
- Manage sales agreements, reporting, and marketing plans
- Set targets and develop, coordinate, and deliver annual sales and marketing plans with tour operators and group partners
- Work closely with marketing to develop season launch materials, including pricing, product details, and itineraries
- Coordinate allotments with Revenue Management to maximise utilisation
- Identify and develop new business opportunities with tour operators and group partners
- Monitor competitor activity and industry trends and share insights with relevant teams
- College Degree or job experience equivalent required
- 5+ years combination sales, operations and customer service experience
- 3+ years travel industry experience preferred
- Proficient in MS Office, especially Power Point
- Experience with webinars, online presentation tools, and LCD/data projection
- Familiar with internal booking systems;
Seaware knowledge is an advantage - Confident using web tools and in-house systems
- Quick to adapt to new technologies and learn new programs
- Uses digital tools effectively to improve productivity
- Results-driven with strong initiative and ability to meet deadlines
