Development Specialist

Be an integral part of JM&A Group, developing the next generation of top talent. The Development Specialist will receive on‑the‑job training at dealer partner locations and the corporate office, positioning them for multiple career paths within 12 months. This is a salaried position with a base salary of $65,000 annually.

Responsibilities
  • Provide hands‑on individual training to dealer partners.
  • Foster relationships with dealer partners through the JM&A value proposition.
  • Proactively manage professional development and adapt through constructive feedback.
  • Navigate and excel in a high‑paced work environment.
Qualifications
  • Highly motivated self‑starter.
  • Automotive retail sales experience.
  • Persistent and resilient—able to handle objections and rejections.
  • Executive presence—comfortable, curious, and poised when engaging with any level of leadership.
  • Versatile in tailoring communication to diverse audiences with emotional intelligence.
  • Capacity to shape outcomes through non‑authoritative means.
  • Willing and able to travel 100% nationwide.
  • Willingness to work non‑traditional hours to meet business needs.
  • Open to relocation upon promotion.

The pay grade for this position is 49,141 – 109,215. Base pay is determined by factors including candidate experience and qualifications, education and work location. This position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and participation in robust retirement plans including 401(k), profit sharing, and pension. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance, flexible spending accounts, emergency backup care, family support services, supplemental life insurance, a lifestyle spending account, parental leave, and paid time off.
