Retail Rescue Coordinator

Since 1981, the Foodbank of Southwestern Virginia and the Eastern Shore (Foodbank) has provided more than 400 million meals to neighbors in need. Serving eleven cities and counties where one in ten individuals faces food insecurity, we play a vital role in the fight against hunger by collecting, storing, and distributing nutritious food. We also work toward long-term self‑sufficiency by addressing the root causes of hunger.

As our Retail Rescue Donations Coordinator, you'll be at the heart of our mission, driving the success of our retail rescue program. You'll be the key player in building and maintaining strong relationships with our amazing Retail Rescue donors and forging new partnerships with retail giants. Your role will ensure that our program runs smoothly and complies with all internal and external requirements.

• Build Relationships:
  Develop and nurture positive connections with our valued donors, ensuring their continued support and engagement.
• Expand Our Network:
  Seek out and establish new partnerships with retail partners to amplify our impact.
• Ensure Compliance:
  Keep our program on track by adhering to all internal policies and external regulations.
• Communicate Effectively:
  Be the go‑to person for donors and partners, providing updates and addressing any concerns with a smile.

  Maintain detailed records and prepare regular reports to showcase our achievements.

• Monday through Friday: 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
