Morning Sales Associate – Job Overview
Are you an early riser ready to hit the ground running? Our morning sales associates typically start between 5 AM and 7 AM and are essential to setting the tone for the day during our busiest hours. This fast‑paced shift requires multitasking across areas such as keeping the store clean and stocked, greeting customers with a smile, and handling restroom cleaning, trash pickup, and pump maintenance.
Responsibilities- Greet customers with a smile and run the register accurately and quickly
- Become an expert in lottery, cigarette, and alcohol sales—with compliance to all age verification and legal requirements
- Offer friendly service and upsell customers to increase sales
- Maintain a clean and safe store inside and outside—including deep cleaning high‑use restrooms, sanitizing gas pumps, picking up litter, and taking out trash to the dumpster in all weather
- Stock shelves, coolers, and displays to keep merchandise fresh and full
- Sweep, mop, clean windows, and maintain entryways
- Cross‑train in other departments (including deli) when needed
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies
- Act as a team player and help wherever needed
- Age:
Must be 18 or older (if located in AR, CT, FL, LA, MI, MA, MS, MO, NC, SC, TX, TN, AZ, and CO) or 21 or older elsewhere - Availability:
Able to work weekends and holidays, full rhythm of retail - Work conditions:
Willingly work hard, stand most of the shift, comfortable indoors/outdoors in all weather - Communication:
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English - Math:
Basic addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication - Physical:
Capable of frequently lifting 10 lbs, occasionally up to 50 lbs - Pre‑employment screening:
