Acute Care Nurse Practitioner – Cardiothoracic Surgery No Weekends

A hospital-based cardiothoracic surgery team in Hampton Roads, Virginia is seeking a Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP) to support patients across the full surgical continuum—from preoperative evaluation to postoperative recovery
. This full-time role combines operating room assistance, inpatient management, ICU collaboration, and outpatient follow-up care in a high-acuity cardiac surgery program.

Providers work closely with cardiothoracic surgeons and multidisciplinary teams, delivering advanced perioperative care for adult patients undergoing complex cardiac procedures.

• Provide perioperative care for cardiothoracic surgery patients
• Assist in cardiac surgery procedures and surgical support
• Perform endoscopic vein harvesting (EVH) for CABG procedures
• Manage postoperative patients in ICU and inpatient units
• Conduct outpatient follow-up visits and patient education
• Coordinate care with surgical teams and specialists

• Active Virginia Nurse Practitioner license
• Experience in cardiothoracic surgery or cardiac ICU
• Skills in endoscopic vein harvesting (EVH) preferred
• Strong collaboration and surgical team communication skills

• $150,000 – $175,000 annual salary + productivity bonus
• Hospital and outpatient clinic practice
