UVA Health Outpatient Surgery Center is a twelve OR facility that serves a wide variety of patients. Services include Pediatrics, Orthopedics, Neuro/Pain, Urology, GYN, Plastics, ENT, Eyes, General and Robotics. Our staffing hours are Monday through Friday from 0700‑1730. Internal Traveler ProgramThe Internal Traveler Program is an opportunity for healthcare professionals to explore the boundless possibilities at UVA Health. Qualified registered nurses who wish to work with an energetic and collaborative team in multiple surgical services are encouraged to apply. Travelers operating in the OR must have extensive experience circulating and scrubbing in multiple surgical services, and must be proactive, dependable problem‑solvers.
- Compensated competitively with other traveler positions.
- Available in a wide variety of clinical practice opportunities.
- Offered in 13‑week blocks, which may be renewed up to a maximum of 39 weeks.

Education:
Graduate of an accredited nursing program required. Bachelor of Science in Nursing required within 5 years of hire.

Licensure:
Licensed to Practice as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia. American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required.
Job requires standing for prolonged periods, frequently bending/stooping/traveling. Proficient in communicative, auditory and visual skills; attention to detail; ability to write legibly; and ability to lift/push/pull > 100lbs. May be exposed to fumes, chemicals, vibrations, humidity, cold, heat, noise, outdoor climate, blood/body fluids and infectious disease.
CompensationThe starting base rate for this role is $64.00 hourly. Individual compensation will be determined by the selected candidate’s qualifications, previous work experience, and/or education.
