Responsibilities
- Responsible for nursing care based on the nursing process and in compliance with facility policies and procedures.
- Monitor, report, and document the residents’/patients’ behavior and physiological status.
- Administer medications and perform treatments/procedures in compliance with facility and nursing services policies and procedures.
- Guide the response to residents who are behaviorally out of control or who may be experiencing a medical or behavioral crisis in collaboration with the Director of Nursing, Medical Staff with delineated privileges, and Physician.
- Demonstrate clinical competence in the delivery of direct patient care and the implementation of the milieu management program.
- Report accurately and concisely to oncoming shifts regarding conditions of residents both medically and psychiatrically.
Bachelor or Master degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience that meets the education, knowledge, skills and abilities.
