Job DescriptionInova Health is looking for a dedicated Outpatient Registered Nurse (RN) to join the team. This role will be full-time, day shift Monday-Friday 7:30am-4:00pm. - Formulate plans of care based on trends of similar patients including patient education and discharge planning. Identify variances from expected outcomes. Evaluate patient outcomes and make revisions to plans of care.
- Collaborate with patients/families to identify realistic desired outcomes. Adapt standards and guidelines for individual patients. Tailor and prioritize caring practice to individual needs including cultural, ethical and spiritual needs. Participate in the planning of routine transitional healthcare needs (i.e. treatment options, patient placement options, end of life options). Respond to changes in patients' needs and provide holistic caring.
- Document all patient care activities as per documentation standards. Assist the healthcare team with the documentation process.
- Education:
BSN from an accredited school of nursing. If RN has an Associates Degree (ADN); must complete BSN within 5 years of start date. - Licensure: RN licensed, or eligible to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Registered Nurse.
- Experience:
0 years of Registered Nurse clinical experience. - Certification: BLS from the American Heart Association. Top Secret Security Clearance (ISSA/TS/SCI) required. If Team Member does not hold Top Secret Security Clearance (ISSA/TS/SCI) at the time of hire, the Team Member must obtain it within one year of the hire date.
- 5 years of experience as a Registered Nurse; experience in ED, ICU, Urgent Care, Occupational Health or Federal agencies desired.
