Description
Interactive Government Holdings, Inc. (IGH) is seeking a Program Manager for the Drug Enforcement Administration's Substance Misuse Prevention Training and Outreach Program. The DEA National Community Outreach and Prevention Engagement (NCOE) aims to expand DEA’s existing strategies and provide substance misuse prevention strategies across up to 23 DEA field divisions in the United States, including Alaska, Hawaii, Guam, and the Caribbean.
Field divisions will identify a city/geographic area within their responsibility, determine prevalent drug threats, and develop a strategic plan for targeted community outreach using evidence-based and science-informed prevention strategies.
- Major responsibilities include (not all inclusive):
- Support and implement Community Outreach Goals to positively impact communities and serve as models for others facing similar drug issues
- Increase capacity through public-private partnerships in each NCOE community to reduce substance misuse costs and consequences
- Raise awareness of substance misuse-related problems in local communities
- Engage educators, parents, and other caregivers in using science-based prevention materials to prevent substance use or misuse
- Objectives:
- Connect DEA field offices with the communities they serve and bridge gaps between law enforcement and public health
- Partner with community-based prevention stakeholders to increase awareness and readiness
- Support local drug-free coalitions and other prevention providers for a comprehensive prevention approach
- Raise local drug threat awareness and, over time, influence attitudes to reduce drug demand through collaboration and prevention education
- Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice, Organizational Development or related field
- Masters Degree preferred
- 5 years of experience managing complex training programs
- Law enforcement leadership experience preferred
- 5 years of training development, facilitation, and/or community partnerships and outreach experience
- Suitability for personnel security clearance
