The OE & BPM Lead within the Manufacturing Department is responsible for driving a culture of Continuous Improvement on the shop floor. By utilizing Lean Six Sigma methodologies and other optimization tools, this role identifies and eliminates waste, optimizes production business processes, and ensures the achievement of departmental KPIs. This position serves as both a catalyst for production efficiency and a critical bridge for cross-functional process synergy.
PrincipleRoles & Responsibilities / Accountabilities
- Lean Leadership & Project Management
- Lead Core Projects:
Spearhead major Lean improvement projects on the front line (e.g., OEE enhancement, SMED/changeover reduction, yield loss mitigation, etc.) - Capability Building:
Design and implement internal Lean training systems; coach production supervisors and staff in applying Lean tools (5S, Kaizen, VSM, etc.) - Culture Promotion:
Foster a "Continuous Improvement" atmosphere, ensuring Lean thinking is deeply embedded in shop floor operations - KPI & Workshop Management
- KPI Setting & Cascading:
Coordinate the setting of annual/quarterly production goals, cascading site-level objectives into measurable departmental KPIs - Performance Review:
Organize and facilitate departmental Management Reviews and Workshops, ensuring early warning of performance deviations - Action Tracking:
Responsible for tracking the execution of production improvement action plans to ensure closed-loop management - Business Process Management & Optimization
- Process Mapping:
Identify redundancies in production management and enhance administrative and operational efficiency through Business Process Reengineering - Site-level
Collaboration:
Represent the Production Department in site-level optimization initiatives, such as Digital Transformation and Supply Chain synergy - Compliance Balance:
Ensure all process optimization solutions strictly adhere to GMP requirements, mitigating compliance risks while improving efficiency
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Science, Engineering, or Management
- Majors in Pharmacy, Bio-engineering, or Industrial Engineering are preferred
- 5+ years of experience in Operational Excellence (OE) or Lean improvement within large-scale manufacturing, with at least 2 years in the pharmaceutical or life sciences industry
- Familiar with Change Control and Deviation Management processes under GMP environments
- Proficient in Lean Manufacturing tools; certification as a Lean Six Sigma Green/Black Belt is preferred
- Data Visualization & Presentation:
Exceptional data visualization and presentation skills. Ability to translate complex data into intuitive dashboards and deliver compelling narratives to stakeholders at all levels. Proficiency in Minitab, Power BI/Tableau, Excel, and PowerPoint is required
- Change Management:
Proven ability to navigate resistance to change, with excellent cross-functional communication and interpersonal influence - Project Management:
Ability to manage multiple project priorities simultaneously with a strong result-oriented mindset
