Envelope Machine Adjuster Trainee shift

Job Purpose:

To produce envelopes on folding machines that meet company quality standards while maintaining optimum speeds and minimal downtime.

• Check work of previous shift for quality & correctness and notify supervisor of any issues
• Check the quality of the finished envelopes throughout the job by following company quality control procedures and correct issues as necessary to maintain and/or achieve the quality standards
• Change machines between sizes, styles, windows, gum, and printing from one job to the next with minimal downtime
• Keep machines running at optimum speed to meet or exceed production targets while maintaining quality standards
• Identify machine malfunctions, troubleshoot, and correct in a timely manner
• Notify a supervisor promptly when machines need maintenance/repairs above what can be completed by the adjuster
• Work as a team with other adjusters and operators to accomplish shift goals
• Assist Envelope Machine Operators with their duties when necessary and/or when available
• Keep envelope folding machine and area around machine neat & clean
• Fill out production paperwork and pull samples as directed
• Communicate with outgoing shift and incoming shift regarding equipment status, job status, and any other relevant information
• Perform routine maintenance and general repairs on envelope folding machines as directed by supervisor
• Duties include standing for most of the shift, repetitive hand & wrist motions, reaching with hands and arms, regular lifting of up to 75 pounds, and possibly working overtime
• Perform other duties as assigned by management from time to time
• Execute the responsibilities of this position following company safety policies and company procedures
