Welder / MIG/MAG/TIG, Fabrication, Maintenance Technician / Mechanic
Sharpe® is expanding our Virginia fabrication team and looking for skilled Welders/Boilermakers who take pride in quality work. If you value safety, precision, and being part of a close-knit team, step into a secure, long-term role with us.
In this role, key responsibilities include welding, metal fabrication, and assembly, performed in accordance with technical drawings and specifications. The welders/ boilermakers will assist in maintaining and repairing metal structures, machinery, and equipment, as well as prepare materials for welding by cutting, grinding, and cleaning pipes to ensure proper fit and weld quality. Conducting inspections and quality checks on completed work is essential to verify adherence to specifications and industry standards.
Additionally, the role requires ensuring that all work complies with safety standards and quality requirements, while also maintaining fabrication tools, equipment, and work spaces in a clean, organised, and functional condition. You must be able to work effectively both independently and as part of a small team.
What we’ll be looking for in you:
- Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade (Boilermaking/Welding).
- Pressure pipe welding AS4041/ASME IX
- Strong understanding of fabrication techniques and metalworking tools
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
- Experience in Mining equipment is beneficial
- Strong commitment to safety and quality standards
